Thorp Perrow is a great day out for people of all ages, we regularly visit with our grand daughter. We all enjoy the birds of prey centre and the animals, especially the meerkats! Lovely walks, especially in Summer and Autumn and to top it all off a good adventure playground and cafe!
Also Himalayan Gardens; best if your relatively active, but stunning especially for budding horticulturalists!Malcolm and Pauline Cross
One of my favourite places to visit around Ripon is Brimham Rocks. It’s a great place to walk and see some beautiful Nidderdale views and also to climb, explore and have some fun.Karen Doderer
I really love the fantastic and eclectic mix of small independent shops and tearooms and can happily while-away an afternoon ‘just looking’.
Wren’s in the high street is a great community initiative that houses a host of small retailers under one roof whilst The Castle is a must visit as it is an Aladdin’s Cave of gifts and ideas for the home.
Oliver’s Pantry is highly recommended for lunch and if you have a sweet tooth you have to visit the Pancake house.Michelle Campbell
